My name is Damith Laknanda weerasekara and I am 27 years old and I have a bachelors degree in Engineering and management and currently employed in Wertx Gmbh as a junior controller in project management.

Educational background
I am a current student in masters in Engineering management in TH Ingolstadt and I have completed Engineering Management Bachelors also in TH Ingolstadt with a thesis related to OPCUA application in shop-floor optimization. I have done my mandetory internship in DVAG as an Intern in project management and I am currently employeed as a junior controller in Wertx Gmbh as an intern since September 2022.
Highlights of my project work
Project designing a wheel chair - System Engineering
This project was done with the partnership of a Non-Governmental charity organization where I had to design a wheel chair for which is suitable for rural South Africa. The system engineerin principles were used and techniques in mechnical designing were used as well.
Project designing a concept of EV charging network
As a part of subject company valuation I took part in a group project where we identified a failing company in financial basis and came up with a new business idea and created business plans and we pitched these ideas.
Semester Project - Start Up
In this project we created a company called eelenfoods which produces vegan meat(soya based alternative product) and where I handeled the logistics based sides. More information could be found on eelenfoods home page.
Project Digital factory
In this project I had to work on topics in industry 4.0 and had to research on different topics related to it and had to do a research paper on automating customer service where I did practical work by creating a chat-bot.
Apart from these highlights I have worked on 6 different other projects in my Bachelors degree and I am currently taking part in 3 different projects in my masters ( at this moment)
Work experience
- From 09/2022 to now I am working at Wertx Gmbh as an Intern in Junior controlling. Here I help the team with different tasks such as SEO, Competitor analysis, CRM, Cost calculation and other topics.
- From 10/2021 to 03/2022 I was working as an intern at DVAG and in this company I did a digitalization project and some other projects along with it.
- From 03/2016 to 10/2016 I was working as a banker at HSBC and here I was working in Commercial banking in new to bank loans department where I processed loan requests and made decisions about their requests and such.
Apart from that I worked in a Automobile service station as a part of a course I took with Ceylon German Technical Training Institute.
Courses and Certifications
- I took part in a couse in CGTTI in automobile repairing as an apprenticeship during holidays in october 2015 to january 2016
- I took part A1 to B2.1 in Goethe institute from august 2014 to october 2016
- I took part a course in project management and six sigma in Allison courses and have the six sigma yellow belt and Prince 2 certificate as well.
Apart from these course I took few courses in MS project ,Ms Office and Technische Deutsch B1 from TH Ingolstadt and Certificate in information technology from Sri Lankan Telecom Training institute and SEO course from Coursera as well
